Hi people

Ive been looking online for some kind of picture by picture guide or even video to help me fit a honeywell wireless roomstat to my vokera combi boiler with no joy.
Does such a thing exist?

No.

Which model Vokera do you have?

Edit:
Forgot to ask: Which Honeywell?

Vokera Compact HE and Honeywell cmt927
Is this a job a DIY novice can do?

Yes.

Do you have an existing time switch/programmer and thermostat which you wish to replace? If so, what makes and models?

There is a time dial on the boiler but nothing external to that.
Im at work at the moment but when i do have a go at this would you be ok if i pm'ed you?

turn off power supply to boiler
remove front case (3 screws )
flip down front hatch
release pcb cover (the big plastic thing)
you will see wiring loom going to clock from electrical connector block
disconnect all 4 spade connectors on clock
trace these 4 wires to connector block
you will have wires connected to a brown, a blue, and 2 blacks
disconnect wires from the 4 colours stated
the internal clock now has no power and no control of boiler

from vokera connector block to cmt 927 receiver

blue to n(eutral)
brown to l(ive)
black to A
black to B

carry out transmitter/receiver tests as per cmt 927 instructions

It might be a good idea to carry out the tests before fixing the receiver to the wall! Honeywell say a minimum of 30cm from any metal objects, including the boiler. The easiest way to do this is temporarily to connect a long lead with a 3 pin plug at the other end to the L and N terminals. Plug into a 3 pin socket, hold the receiver where you want it located. Then check reception from the proposed transmitter (user control) location. Once you have found a receiver location that works reliably, you can then fix it to the wall and run the four core cable to the boiler.

Cheers for these instructions guys.
So are the black wires interchangeable (as in can either go in A and either in B)
Also any chance of you linking me to the correct 4 core cable i need to buy from maplins or screwfix?
Also D_Hailsham what kind of cable will do the job you described in your last post?
Sorry i am an electrical novice.

Yes.

B&Q sell it Tower 4 core cable
You need four core plus earth, however the earth is not used. If you don't want to go to the expense of a four core cable, two 2-core cables will do the trick. Normal cable will do e.g table light cable.

Also D_Hailsham what kind of cable will do the job you described in your last post?
Any two core cable will do the trick. Just put a plug on one end and connect the other end to the L and N terminals of the receiver.

Thanks again.
So just to clarify the above instructions
you will have wires connected to a brown, a blue, and 2 blacks
Does this mean the wires that were connected to my internal clock will be brown, blue and 2 blacks.
disconnect wires from the 4 colours stated
Does this mean i will have totally removed 4 complete wires from the boiler as they were connected to the clock and the connector block?
from vokera connector block to cmt 927 receiver

blue to n(eutral)
brown to l(ive)
black to A
black to B
And to complete i run the purchased 4 core cable fro m my reciever box to the now empty connectors on the connector block of my boiler.
I hope i have this right

Yes.

Just disconnect from the terminal block. NO real need to disconnect from the clock. But you should make the loos ends safe so they can't touch anything.

Make a note of which colour goes to which terminal before you disconnect anything.

Correct.

Brown to Brown (L)
Blue to Blue (N)
3rd colour to Black No 1
4th colour to Black No 2

There is a terminal block with six terminals. Reading from the left
1. Black = 3rd Colour
2. Empty
3. Black = 4th Colour
4. Brown
5. Empty
6. Blue
