Vitcas Plaster on Cement/Hydrated Lime/Sand Render

Hello there, the brick fireplace is rendered with the above mix.

Can you please confirm whether any PVA is suitable for the plaster mix to go on properly or does it have to be Vitcas PVA?

sounds like a waste of money to me their description sounds like it is just there to stop suction so therefore normal PVA should do, but is it worth the risk for the sake of a few quid

Thanks for the reply. It's more about the inconvenience of getting it if it is unnecessary.

Hopefully someone with experience with and without using this PVA will know the answer.
