I have a contract with Vodafone, two phones, one for me and the other for "her who must be obeyed".
I have had trouble with Vodafone in past, won't go into that, could take all day.
So part of my plan is stop the clock, I have noticed that the bill to the number belonging to "her who must be obeyed", was getting unexpectedly large.
Don't get me wrong she can rabbit :!:
But Vodafone have been charging me for the full period, so if the conversation goes on for 45 mins they've charged me full wack, instead of the 3 minute cut off point, for stop the clock.
This seems to have been going on for sometime, so I have brought this to their attention.
The upshot being they are going to review the last 2 bills and refund money owed.
I have asked for them to look at all the bills, but they have said they will charge me for anything more.
I am now thinking of contacting oftel regarding this.
This can't be right, they have been ripping me off, I know I should have inspected the bills closer and do still have access to them.
Does anybody have any suggestions or experiences of this?

That's the trouble with these plans, they highlight all the good bits like saying unlimited texts etc etc folk forget about the bad bits if they go over the limits.
I personally dont use the mobile much so am on pay as you go, no catches that way and i only top up once in a blue moon.

I am going to have a good look at the past bills, it's clear they have over charged me, they have admitted that much, but only offered to review the last two. Unless I pay a fee
I have had fall outs with them before, and they have always backed down.
The plans up soon, so served notice on it.
I just wondered if anyone else had experience this?
I nearly missed it, put it down to the girl rabbiting over Christmas and New Year, to all and sundry.

Tell them to review all the bills or you will be reporting them to Ofcom first thing in the morning. Tell them you will also be cancelling your contract with them. They wont charge you to do this as they have broken their own rules and not provided you with the service you should have been getting.......they will back down

Thanks for the replies, I'm in heated talks with Vodafone at the moment, they are reviewing the bills and I have cancelled my contract with them.
I have had trouble with them in the past, to tell you the truth I don't know why I am still with them
They keep promising these wonderful packages, then someway down the line, try to have your pants down!

Dont talk to them.
Write to them.
If you talk you are generally taking to little more than a machine (they are not empowered to make a decision)

From my experience all the mobile companies are the same - I wouldn't say problems like these are exculsive to Vodafone! We're having right problems with our final bill with Orange at the moment having moved to O2 last December and we're already having problems with O2!!!

I had lots of trouble a couple of years ago with mine and her indoors mobiles with O2 and after months of phone calls ,letters cancelled my contract and only have PAYG and would not have a contract with any of them again

I think that maybe the way to go John,
I've been paying for both phone bills, I use mine to the restrictions of the plan, so rarely go over the limted mins and text.
But the missus seems to think that it should be at all times at her ear ole, which at the times not that bad, because I then get left alone ;)
But I could pay for a contract killing, for the money she's cost me
