Our central heating maintenance folks have refused to continue our contract on the Vokera Excel 96E combi boiler as it is "a bit long in the tooth" and "getting difficult to get parts for"

Our home is less than 9 years old, and the boiler was fitted at the time of building. It's not THAT old, surely........

Any central heating folks here concur with their opinion?

Regards, Graham

Absolute complete utter and totally fraudulent disgracefully reprehensible barefaced lies.

that's a "no".

the excel range was only manufactured from '94 to '98 (i'm pretty sure). the industry standard for a boiler lifespan seems to be 12-15 years. so the same as chris 'no'. By industry reckoning if your boiler was the first off the production line ever then you've got at least another cou0ple of years. All spares are readily available for this model boiler (right down to the countersunk casing screws)
don't take any ****!

Thanks chaps; I've just found Vokera's homepage - think I'll ask them what they think as well!
