Hi, this is my first time on here so please bear with me!
Yesterday the pressure gauge on the boiler was showing just over 0.5 bar so i topped up as i do periodically to 1.5 bar. Later on in the evening i noticed the outside over flow dripping. I checked the pressure and noticed it was reading 3 bar. I turned the heating off and waited until cold then i released water from the bathroom radiator taking the pressure down to 1 bar. Immediately it rose again to 3 bar. I read previous threads on here and checked the top up valve was closed properly and turned off the cold water inlet. I then dropped the pressure down to 0.5 bar. It immediately rose again to 3 bar. Didn't get as far as trying the CH. It doesn't rise above 3 bar at any time.
Can any one please offer any suggestions as to what the problem may be and what i can do about it?
