Has anyone got any experience with the Vokera Condexa Pro light commercial boiler?
A customer has two 50kw units with a master and slave unit. The right hand unit keeps going off on fault code A01 every 3-4 days. (this is 5 failed ignition attempts.) It appears that the unit is unable to spark due to moisture on the electrode. There is moisture collecting around the air intake snorkel. (sometimes the left hand unit goes off on same fault code)
Vokera engineers have been to boiler on numerous occassions. They decided after many visits that the problem was being caused by the flue taking its combustion air from inside the room (damp cellar). So they supplied the flue parts to convert to a balanced twin flue system. This compounded the problem and both boilers were going off every day on the same fault code. The air intake snorkel again was very damp.
The boiler has since been converted back to drawing its combustion air from inside the room, and as before goes off every 3-4 days.
We have been advised that each unit generates up to 15 litres of condense per hour. To combat this drain t's have been installed on the flue, and there are 1 1/2 drains at the bottom of the boiler.
I considered a split heat exchanger but there are no signs of the condense running when the boiler is off.
Any advice, or similar experience would be much appreciated. Boiler is under a year old, but we have no confidence in the support being recieved by Vokera. Is customer in his rights to demand a new boiler if manufacturer cannot repair it when still under warranty?
