Hello!

Recently our Boiler has started to lose pressure after it has finished it's timed cycle of heating the radiators, quite dramatically as it clanks the pipes and then sends out a huge jet of water out onto the back garden.

After it has finished erupting the pilot light goes out and the water pressure drops down almost zero, i assume this is because it is a safety shut down or something similar

We've had someone out to look at it who says there doesnt seem to be anything obviously wrong and he cleaned out the expansion vessel and re-pressurised it, but it hasn't made a difference and now he's gone on holiday over Christmas!!!

Has anyone get any idea if its something simple we could fix, or if not, if they know of anyone in the Wolverhampton area who could possibly come to our aid!!!!

Cheers!! Ian

Sounds like overheat due to lack of overrun. This will make your boiler literally boil, which raises the pressure, which will be let out through prv. When cooled down pressure is gone. Temporary fix maybe to turn heating knob on boiler to minimum. Pressurise boiler first to about 1 when cold
