VOKERA EXCELL 80 SP

I HAVE THE ABOVE BOILER, HEATING AND HOT WATER WORKS FINE BUT THE PRESSURE GAUGE NEEDS TOPPED UP EVERY DAY & SEEMS TO DROP QUITE QUICKLY.

IS THIS A MAJOR PROBLEM OR JUST A TRAIT OF THIS KIND OF HEATING SYSTEM?

ANY ADVICE GREATLY APPRECIATED

no it isnt a trait, you have a sealed system which in theory should never need topped up, but in reality once in a blue moon isnt a prob, so you have a leak somewhere that will need attended to, first place to look is at all radiators and valves then at the blow off pipe which is outside usually where the boiler is but will need a heating engineer to attend to for you

top pressure to 1.5 and put heating on does in rise to 3bar

Flos, chances are the boiler has not been serviced for a while as area of concern would have been checked if service was as described in the manual.

It would be prudent to get the boiler serviced as pressure problem would be addressed during the service along with other components that will eventually cause malfunction.

I can off that service with most parts available for one visit repair.
