HI, i have a vokera linea 24 combi boiler, the hot water is working okay but
the central heating is'nt. The led on the front panel is green and is not
showing any fault codes.I have just replaced the mode selector switch and
both other switches appear to be okay. I have taken off the motorized valve
and this is working fine when i turn on the hot water the pin comes out.
I have checked the timeclock and this was okay, have also made solid link between terminals TA & TA.
The boiler fires up when i press the combustion check switch behind blank
screw on front panel and the radiators warm up. The boiler was switched off
for a few weeks prior to not working.
Any help offered would be most welcome and very much appreciated,
thank you.

If the diverter moves then its recognises a DHW demand.

However, it may not be recognising the CH demand.

Are you sure the selector switch spindle/switch is correct?

Isn't that switch part of the small PCB?

Have you checked the sensor resistances?

HI, sorry for my ignorance on these matters, it was actualy the plastic mode
selector knob that i replaced due the shaft being broken. The switch has not
been replaced, and you are correct in saying that the switch is part of the small pcb.
As far as checking the sensor resistances, well i'm not that sure of how to
go about that.

is it the linea HE or SE?

is it the 724 linea?

without looking at MIs, always thought divertor motor only motored for ch?

ok why did you replace the control knobs?

did you remove the sheared off bits from the pcb?

HI, i replaced the centre plastic mode selector knob because the shaft that
turns the small switch on the pcb was broken. As far as i'm aware these plastic knobs are a common fault. There is no damage to the pcb ,just the plastic shaft of the plastic knob.

if boiler fires up on ch when you press the CO button, and your rads get warm ( as it only runs for 10 or 15 mins on CO mode)

or the mode selector knob is not rotating to ch & dhw, or the ta- ta link has no continuity through

ie boiler is waiting to get a command for ch

HI, is there anything that i could check, the mode selector is switching the boiler off in the central position and when i turn right for dhw and left for
ch/dhw the boiler digital display and green led come on.

Is it possible that the problem has been caused because the boiler has been
isolated without gas/electricity for a few weeks.
thanking you.

Get a engineer to check the operation of the control knob first, if thats okay then i would be more than confident in ordering up the main pcb

HI, THANKS FOR THAT,ANY IDEA WHAT IT WOULD COST FOR AN ENGINEER
TO CHECK IT.
