Hi,
We have just had a downstairs radiator removed and replaced following some plastering work.
I refilled and bled the system and the boiler seems to do the following on heating or hot water:
Fan starts
Burners ignite and start heating
Then it seems that the pump tries to start
A lot of gurgling and banging
The temp readout gets up to 80-90 during this process.
The boiler stops and gives an error code.
02 or 07 depending on water or heating I seem to recall.
I've tried undoing the screw on the pump to bleed it.
I've also depressed the auto bleed valve on the pump which let a bit of air out then solid water.
I also mistakenly pressed the valve on top of the expansion vessel. This let out a little bit of water and then nothing. I understand water is a bad thing!
Any ideas please?
I was thinking of draining the system, attaching a footpump to the expansion vessel and inflating to 12psi then refilling and bleeding the system. Perhaps also check if the pump is free?
Thanks in advance for any help.
