Hi all, had this cracking boiler 18 yrs from new. Regularly BG serviced by mature but now retired old chap (according to the fresh faced lad that turned up). In the last two years had a new 3way diverted valve, DHW manifold, DHW stat, Fan, gas valve and PCB. So here's the possible problem, last wk, the mrs was running a bath early one morning, I was in bed but heard air circulating in the CH radiator in the bedroom, went down to the boiler to find the CH Return Valve and a good 12inches of incoming pipe well hot, this is not just normal heat conduction but hot flow...looks to be coming from the DHW heat exchanger and making its way to and through the CH manifold, question is, should the 3way diverted prevent this or is the CH manifold diaphragm or associated seals to blame, naturally any thoughts would be appreciated. By the way, CH was OFF at the time, and when asked CH appears to works normally, in fact all aspects of the boiler seem to work normally. Subsequent checks produce the same issue. The new lad is scratching his head, ran off to an emergency, and looking to get some advice...retuning Friday.
