Volume on laptop

Hi all. have Medion laptop, volume is not good but working ok as set by manufacturer. I like to listen to loud music so I use headphones but as said volume is not very loud, so any suggestions please to improve. Thanks for your time.

What version of windows?
Are the sliders set to max when you click the speaker in the toolbar area?

Hi Spark, yes have checked all volume bars and are up to max. I have Windows Vista unfortuantly on advise, used to have XP, no problems at all.

If the voulume was ok on xp but dropped when you upgraded to vista then it might be solved by upgrading the audio drivers.

Identitfy your soundcard in device manager and then check the medallion site or whoever makes the soundcard/chip.
