I have had this a while now and I have mentioned it before - at first I thought someone might be changing it then pressing OK to store it, but no one is - of that I am certain.
I have the desired night temperature set to 16C, it never gets that cold in the house during the night to trigger the heating.
I have the day temperature set to 18C, only rarely does it get that cold during the day to trigger the heating - so all works fine at that, when we are absent. When we are in and cold, I nudge the dial up to 21 or 21.5C, until the next change of the period when it again drops back to my default desired temperature, except....
Rather weirdly, it sometimes, every week or so - just changes the desired day temperature to 20C entirely by itself.
There are two ways to store a different desired temperature...
1. Go into the menu and program a new setting, or...
2. Twiddle the knob to change it - then press OK to store it as the new desired. Not pressing the OK means it reverts to what ever desired is already stored, when the day/night period changes.
Always it changes it to a desired of 20.0C, I notice it is warmer, then have to nudge it back again.
