Vulcan Verona 5d Fireplace

Hi Everyone.

I am in the process of selling my property and it has a Vulcan Verona 55d back boiler. The fireplace that sits in front of the boiler was removed before I moved in.

I would like to acquire a fireplace to refit to the back boiler, to save me having to redo the entire heating system prior to the sale of the house.

Does anyone know where I could obtain / buy a fireplace to replace the missing one ?

No chance. They were the best BBUs - but that was nearly 50 years ago. You will just about get a thermocouple for these, that's it. No new parts available, and no engineer in his right mind will fit a s/hand fire front to a 50 year old boiler.

Only realistic option is rip it out and fit a heat only boiler somewhere else. Then either fit a gas/electric fire in it's place or leave it as an open fireplace.
