The glass lenses have fogged quite a bit which seems a common problem on Boras.

Anyone got any tricks they've used to clean and clear the glass?

Already tried fine Wet n Dry followed up with glass polish but no real improvement.

Plastic lenses often get slightly opaque if a car wash is used frequently.....no problem with that but if they do interfere with the head lamp beam projection then it can be an MOT failure.

I read somewhere brasso is good for this but i cant see it personally.
Maybe try a polish with a cutting action but i think when they are too far gone replacement is the only option.

I heard toothpaste, but not tried that yet. Polishing compound available in the motor factors , I think. Have a wee look here, might be something?

I would think the old rubbing compound used on cellulose would do it - if you can still get it, otherwise some very fine wet & dry followed by an abrasive paste. I had this problem with some BMW lights, tried a few mild abrasives to no or little effect - then I sold it.

Brasso works well to polish acrylic like Perspex. That's assuming the plastic used behaves similarly. At a guess anything mildly abrasive would do the trick. As always try it on a small non essential bit first if possible, and don't be tempted to use a polishing mop or whatever as it's very easy to overheat and melt.

There's some stuff about this on the web. Basically, modern light clusters have a tendancy to get foggy due to the heat of the beam. This is why the same thing doesn't happen to rear light clusters.

I've used 2500 grit wet'n dry then 3000 grit wet'n dry and that's improved the lenses somewhat.

I think I can get the lenses even clearer with some fine cutting past and polish using a power buffer - there's only such much possible with elbow grease.
