VW Golf wheel nut thread size?

VW 1.4 Golf, 4 years old. They are actually screws, 5 per wheel, but one of them has has its thread damaged sometime in the past. I need to get a new screw and to run the correct size tap through the hole in the wheel hub.

I work in engineering so would hope that one of my colleagues has the correct size. Anyone know what it is? Looks a bit finer than standard metric thread.

95% sure these are 12mm metric fine, mate.

I think they are M14 with a 1.5mm pitch, If I remember tomorrow I will check for you.

This is what you are looking for then.
All 5X100 & 5X112 (5-lug) VAG cars use B14mm X 1.5mm 17H (Part # B9)

Oops, just re-read the 1st post and noticed it's for the internal thread. Try buffing the side of a bolt and running it through the hub.

Sorted. Borrowed some M14 X 1.5 taps, ran them through and new screw torqued up to required setting. Thanks to all who helped.
