I've got a radio / CD player combination in my Bora.

I'd like to remove the radio unit and replace it with a Tevion brand USB radio I have.

The VW CD player can go redundant as I won't use it.

Do I merely remove and unplug the VW radio and fit the Tevion radio with a suitable adapter lead ?

There shouldn't be any real issues here but I'd be inclined to visit a local car audio centre (even Halfords) with the new set in hand and the old one popped from the dash.....just to see you get the correct adaptor, and everything works as it should.
John :)

Thanks John

Its occurred to me, would a CD player from a 2003 reg Bora play a CD with mp3 files as well as wav files?

Sorry I really can't answer that one.....let's hear what the others say!
My own car only uses those wretched SD cards which has stumped me for now :(

It may plug straight in if the Tevion has the correct harness on it, sometimes you have to reverse the yellow and red cables as the permanent and switched 12 volts are the wrong way round.
You will probably need an aerial adapter too to send the 12 volts to the aerial amplifier.
There is a plastic clip in storage tray available for a couple of quid if you want to remove the cd player too.
