Cardiff Crown Court heard that three of the men , Lucian Carabgeac, 32, Ivan Grosu, 23, and Florin Vornicu, are illegal immigrants from Romania. The fourth, Rulan Ashan, 19, is a Chechen asylum-seeker. They are believed to have been based in London but travelled to Cardiff. Vornicu had given a different name when first brought before the court and had entered Britain on a forged Latvian passport.

Who paid for their defence? The whole shennanigans? We are just too soft .. Deport them? They'll return inside two years I'll bet !

Can't help but agree with you there, why waste public money on trials where the defendants are here illegally. Rights to fair trial etc should apply to uk citizens not illegals, just send them packing. Far cheaper for an easyjet ticket back to wherever they come from.
