Walking on new paving and pointing

I’ve laid half of my patio but I’m unable to continue until next weekend. I work in the shed so need to walk over it. Assuming this is ok to do baring in mind that I won’t be pointing until I’ve done the whole project?

Regarding pointing, I’m going to do a traditional sand/cement mix and put some cement powder in to make it black in colour

what mix is best for pointing? Would I use building sand rather than sharp sand, and would it be a wet or dry mix? Cheers

Leave it a couple of days before walking on it.
I wouldn’t bother using S&C to point it, I’d use one of the synthetic products like geofix or there’s apparently a better one out there, can’t remember its name, I’m sure others will know.
