Wall lights with integrated on/off switch

Hi,

I'm replacing old brass type wall lights in my lounge. The old ones had a built in on/off switch. I haven't seen any wall lights that have switches built in. Does anybody know of where to source these, or is there another simple solution to this eg. is there a typical place that the cables from the wall lights might be run to such as behind the main switch for the ceiling light......or is life not that simple?

Or, as you said, you could add another switch for the wall lights. this will mean an amount of electrical work plus chiseling out the wall to add more wiring to your switch position.
