Hi,
So a while ago I said to my sister I would fit her bathroom. Unfortunately she is using fancy wall mounted bath taps etc and I don't really understand how I am supposed to mount the spout.
I will try to add photo of spout but essentially it is a one piece spout with what looks like 3/4 inch male thread.
Now I am guessing I need a 22mm x 22mm x 3/4 inch tee with female branch. Like this (except 3/4 inch) http://www.screwfix.com/p/pegler-px54-tee-with-female-branch-15mm-x-15mm-x/6888g I am a bit worried how it should be fitted. If the above is sort of right what will ensure a water tight connection. If its just a case of threading the spout on with lots of PTFE then fine but really could use a seasoned plumber (not a diyer like me ) to say yes that's right. Been to a couple of well known plumb merchants and was surprised they didn't seem to know either. Also how do I know the spout will finish the right way if I just screw it into something like that I mean it my not be tight enough to create a seal if I don't screw it enough but have the spout correct and it may be too tight otherwise if you see what I mean
If I do it right i think the spout will be pictured below.
and if the external link to a commercial site above isn't allowed then the pic below should show what I mean.
The only other thing I can think of is that it should have something a bit like a connection use for a tap.
Any help greatly appreciated.
