Hi All,
I'm embarking on a single story kitchen extension for which I will be bringing in trades to do some of the work and DIYing the areas I feel confident in doing. I would describe myself as a pretty proficient DIYer. I'm currently designing the details of the project and was hoping for a sense check with the wall/roof/lintel detail. The joists are running perpendicular to the main house from a wall plate and hangers, with joists tripled either side of a 1000mm x 2000mm roof light in the centre of the extension. The measurements on the right are to ensure the components all come below the maximum permissible 3000mm overall height.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
