Why sometimes when wallpapering with a patterned paper does the pattern not match? By this, I mean the pattern at the top of the wall matches perfect then at the bottom of the wall it runs out! What would be the causes of this?
soaking time plays a lot you have to keep the soaking time the same for each drop
you can stretch the paper to match
depens how much you brush the paper down
try to brush the paper across ways so it wont stretch
you can stretch the paper but you cannot push it back up the wall
try to make sure the first drop is the longest so you can strstch the rest to match
dont stretch the first drop to much will you
I agree 100%, I'm amazed at even the really expensive ones can be a bu55er to match.
When you go to but your paper, just gently press the paper into place, and if you have to lift the paper to move it up or down, again gently put in place.
With some papers its easier once you have the paper up, to sort of butt it properly from the middle going up, to match your pattern in the centre, then go all the way up.
The middle of the wall, and the top, is where most people look, as usually there is settees, tables around the bottom part of the walls.
Failing that, you could always buy the client some nice new pictures to hang, as a gift you understand.
