Whats the best tool for trimming wallpaper edges around door frames and skirting boards? At the moment I use a plastic board with a knife but the knife sometimes cuts into the board. Can you buy steel versions from anywhere? What does everybody else use?
One of these and you shouldn't be cutting into it. Use it angled and angle the blade against it.
In fact they're cheap enough, so buy 3 and you can practice with the first 2
Think I once showed Zampa how to use one.
I wouldnt pay £3.50 for ten pence worth of plastic!...not when theres a ligh fitting with a white diffuser sheet nearby..
Having said wallwiz's are fine..just be sure you put on the right side of it, because the are fairly thick you can end up with a slight gap between the wappaper and skirting board...so always make sure your cut is below the straight edge, make your cut at about 45 degrees holding the blade as close to the skirting as you can, otherwise you stand a good chance of ripping it.
