Hi trying to hang and pattened paper around corner .corner not straight as i assumed . javascript:emoticon('')

Also what would you use to size the walls and would you do the whole room first or just the wall your working on.Do you leave it to dry or work wet????

Lastly I have a window which is set back so I would like to wall paper the internal walls of the window....sure these have a proper name. But when it come to doing it you end up with either a raw edge on the front top edge as you have cut the paper to fold the side around the edge into the window.

please HHHHHelp

Ain't paperhanging fun :D

The area around the window is known as the reveal.
Size the whole room and let it dry.

Papering around corners with patterned paper is always a problem, lining paper is easy but matching a pattern is a real art. If the wall is miles out you are stuck you may have to resort to an overlap, but on most walls you can get it right.

For example on a chimney breast start on the front getting your pattern central or whatever you fancy, then work both ways outwards, depending on the paper you can get away with wrapping from 1" to about 3" around the corner. drop a plumline down where the edge is to come and hang to that line. Now your next piece will butt up against the bit from around the corner.

If you are stuck with say 12" to wrap around use a straight edge and a sharp knife or scissors to trim an unpasted length to wrap around about an inch, use the plumbline paste and proceed butting the cut piece up.

Sometimes you can get away with wrapping a whole reveal round because it's quite a short drop so less paper to pull about. Otherwise do as before, if you need to overlap lay the bit in the reveal first and overlap that so it's less noticeable from the front.

Don't get too hung up on matching everywhere you will always have at least one place where the pattern cannot match up when you have gone all around the room, look for areas where this will notice less perhaps an internal corner not in direct view or the corner above a doorway that is against the wall so only a foot or so drop above it.

Make sure you soak the paper for the amount of time recommended so it is workable it's sometimes called booking because you fold both ends in to the middle and then fold again both folded ends together like a book to keep the paper moist
