Hi. We are getting electrics done. Then I'm told we we are ready fornplastering in our renovation project.

In order to get walls good for the plasterer (to tidy up l) what do I need to do?

I presume remove wall paper and any flaking current plaster? I've shown some pictures as example

Also when there's tile grout. Do I need to remove it? If so should I just replace plasterboard? And what about plasterboard with minor holes

Yes remove all wallpaper and adhesive as well as you can with sugar soap.
Yes to removing anything loose or flakey.
Yes also to removing the tile adhesive, use a nice big scraper, I use a 7" one for this usually. If it's onto plasterboard maybe best to just replace though as likely quicker.

Over the old walls, has the plasterer recommended ThistleBond or similar, to help them get a key onto the wall?
