Warm roof - acoustic rockwool

Hi Folks,

Hope you are enjoying the heat! I have a numpty question If anyone could enlighten me please?

I'm up to the roof on my garden office and whilst I'd initially opted for a cold roof, it turns out I have space for a warm roof which I'd like to go with.

I already bought rockwool 100mm RWA45 insulation however I couldn't find a definitive answer if this would be suitable for a warm roof or does it have to be something firmer/rigid?

You'll need to check the r/k value of the Rockwool.

It does not need to be rigid.

100mm is not that good for any quilt.

Hi Woody,

Thank you for confirming. It's 0.035 W/mK, I'll look into some calculators online. I have a few cm spare before I reach my height limit from pp so could add something to it and still be alright.
