As it says on t.v., Alcohol is more dangerous than hard drugs, Well Well, i wonder how much they have spent to find that out, when they were told yrs ago by the users.

Alcohol kills 300,ooo a yr, i think is the current figure, cannabis, nil, soft drug, i know, but the USA gaol 2 million a yr for possesion

Don't sel to under 25 yr olds not us elderly

It's not a literal projection, but by volume.

Statistically, more people are able to drink beer, and they end up fighting.

Statistically, people that take heroin, will die.

You can always fudge statistics to suit your own end.

But the prof is basically saying that, licensed drink and tobacco, kills people, but some drugs, that are currently illegal, shouldn't be, based on the same science.

So who said baccy, and beer are legal? But diluted potatoes, ie spirits, are illegal to produce? (moonshine);

So other drugs are illegal? weed? chills you out, makes you lucid, speed, or amphetimine, makes you speed up and attention to detail? E, makes the brain productive, H, regulated, a warm glow, and the feeling of E.

Haven't some of the best writers of the age been high on some of these drugs? And that creates creativity?

I suggest anyone that feels creative, to spend 2 weeks away from any modern technology, no TV, no internet, just quiet contemplation, and I bet that they have an excellent idea or invention.

I did that recently and luckily it only took me 2 seconds not 2 weeks and the only conclusion/idea I came up with is....you do come up with an awful lot of rubbish :)

But without you and others this site wouldn't be what it is...(your answer please)

Micky, you've surpassed yourself with the biggest load of BS yet.

I can have a couple of pints and stop, Could i have a couple of hits of crack or heroin and walk away?

How many people have been killed by drug drivers, drink is the big evil as they have a gadget to detect it.

Dope mellows you and reduces your reactions to near zero, yet you can drive without fear, PM or AM. God forbid you have a drink past 9 o'clock PM, if you intend to drive next day - yet jobless junkies smoking 'til 4 AM happily jump into their car (probably uninsured) to drive to the job centre, first thing in the morning at 10.30

The study is based on the fact that alcohol is more widely useds than cocaine, so the study is flawed and the professor that made these claims is a Nutt.

In any research the same number of subjects, (people/animals etc), should be used for the comparison. They should also come from the same sphere of life, (all lawyers, all dolites, all employed working class )etc.
You can't study 50,000 smokers and 5,000 smack heads and say 'pot' is healthier.
As stated, any figures can be manipulated to suit the desired result.

Really !! You can make statistics show anything. I bet that with a bit of ingenuity, someone could probably show a relationship between the incidence of cancer in a community, with the amount of Sky dishes being put on buildings.
Statistics are almost always manipulated by the people trying to prove something.
I'm almost sure I could prove a relationship between the amount of talcum powder a person uses and their behaviour towards immigrants. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

It's even easier to show a link between cancer and low-fat spread. Think about it; anything that reduces the risk of heart disease will increase the risk of getting cancer. ;) ;) ;)

Sad but true. :( :( :(
