washer going straight to end button

hello i have a zanussi 1200 spine, and when i turn it on it just goes straight to the end button??? can anyone advise as desperate for a working washing machine please advice

Make sure the filter isn't blocked then check the motor for worn brushes. Post the PNC number on the door sticker if you need further info.
