Washer won't fill, but will drain and spin

Kenmore (Roper?) Washer 82380100, 80 series, makes a buzzing sound, but will not fill. The buzzing sound seems to come from the back of the machine by the hoses going into the machine.
It does drain and spin.
What do I do?

A couple of things you can check for: Make sure the water supply hoses are not kinked. Also, check the filter screen at the water valve to make sure it is not clogged with sediment that would stop the flow of water. Failing that, you will have to replace the valve.
