Washing Machine and Dishwasher

I have a washing machine already plumbed in taking its feed from under the sink. I want to add a dishwasher to the equation! Do I need to have another valve off the cold feed to supply for the dishwasher or is there a way that I can use the same cold water feed/inlet pipe for the dishwasher. I'm thinking of an adapter or a double inlet lead if such a thing exists.
