Washing Machine causes RCD Tripping

Our Bosch washing machine has started to trip the main house fuse when turned on.
I have plugged the machine into a different socket and the same thing happens.
I have plugged a different appliance into the same socket and all is well.
It must be the washing machine, any ideas?

I assume that you are in the states about 15 amp fuses, I'm in the uk and we use 13 amp but the principle of the machine is still the same. Look iin the brushes on the motor..
