It seems the washing machine drain hose is smelling despite using a recommended sachet by the ins. service engineer.
The hose is approx 2-3mts long and was fitted when new kitchen was installed and runs behind the kitchen units etc. So not easy to remove and replace.
I have a long snake cable that would cover the length of the hose from the machine to the sink.
Should I at one end remove and block the hose and from the other end fill the hose with some gunge cleaner and let it soak before using the snake cable carefully cleaning the hose. Any suggestions what to use to soften/remove the gunge.
Reason for asking, doubt ins for the machine would cover this as the machine is not a fault and hose extension was supplied and fitted by kitchen installer.
