my mums diplomat washing machine fills with water but doesn't do anything else, at the end of the cycle it then drains some of the water out???? any ideas anyone?
If the drum isn't spinning the probable cause is either the motor or the drive belt. The belt may have come off the pulley or broken. If the belts ok check the motor has power to it, if it has either the motors dead or the motors carbon brushes need replacing.
Diplomat isn't an actual manufacturer, they rebadge other machines.
Without the model number it's pure guesswork as to the cause of the fault.
Most common fault is the motor controller pcb failing, followed by carbon brushes in the motor wearing out.
