Hi,
To cut a long story short, the hot water feed to my washer was leaking so I turned the tap off. Been doing normal 40 and 50 degree washes fine since.
I started a 95 degree wash over an hour ago and although it did start, it's now doing nothing and the dial is about 1/8 of the way round. Of course I know it has to heat up the water a lot more than for a 40 wash but it's been unmoving for about an hour which is ridiculous. It is humming gently.
Is it possible that for a 95 wash it needs the hot water but for 40 and 50 it doesn't?
The manual does say that if only feeding from cold water then to connect a Y-connector to both inputs, which I haven't yet done. But that does imply it CAN heat up cold water to 95....
It's a pretty old unit - Electrolux 1200i
Wondering if I should stop it or just wait it out...
thanks for the advice
