Washing machine with faulty door sensor

We are having problems with our washing machine.
We have discovered that there is a fault with the door sensor on the machine.
Can we replace it ourselves (at what cost?) or do we have to call someone out?

PS the washing machine make is Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WM63

Yes very easy to replace. Cost about a tenner.

Would you happen to know how you would replace the sensor please?

Remove the lid. Then the 2 screws for the lock and pull lock to the top and remove the 3 wires one at a time onto the new lock and refit. Should take 5 mins if that.
