Hi all,

Just found that the two cables into my washing machine, i think the earth and electric supply one are exposed, am wondering if anyone can give me any ideas on how this might have happened. Fortunately they were not touching the casing.

Not sure exactly what you mean, perhaps if you could post a pic it may be help someone to be more specific, but generally bare wires should not be ignored as they are a potential danger & should be re-insulated.
