washingmachine motor does not work

Zanoussi (FL 882)about 6 yrs old but rarely used. Motor stopped turning so no tumbling or spinning. All other electrics work fine (filling, emptying and the timer of the control). Motor is ok .Are there other reasons than a faulty control which could cause this problem? Unfortunately I don\\\'t have a wiring diagram. I tried to measure the voltage but don't know what voltage has to be at which pin during which washing cycle.

No need to check the voltage. It's 99.9% certain to be worn motor brushes. Check and replace them.

Thanks but unfortunately wrong; not only did I check the brushes, which were ok; I also bought a new motor, which doesn't work either
