Im away to tile my washroom floor and there is a waste pipe that will be reused later. Because I am using thick tiles my plumber has asked me to put on a straight coupling and tile round that so he can easily connect to the pipe when I have finished.

The pipe is a white waste pipe for washing machine sinks etc cemented into the floor. I have measured the outside dia of the pipe accratly with a vernier and its 43mm.

When I look in the trade point book all white waste pipes seem to be listed as 40mm. Is the listing for the inside diameter or is my pipe an older imperial size etc.

What size female coupling should I use, it is a solvent cement joint.

Thanks

Thanks.

As for the solvent part. How is this done. Do you put solvent on one part, both parts, leave it a while, put it on straight away?
