I’m planning on swapping the toilet around with the basin so planning on extending the 110mm pipe out from the waste stack on the left of the picture. This way the wash basin can go where the cystern is in the picture. The problem I have is the waste pipe (32mm) for the basin is a really tight fit down the back of the waste pipe and got me thinking why not just put the waste from the basin into the waste pipe instead of it being on a separate run to the waste stack. The house is only 5 years old so not sure why the builders/plumbers have done it this way - is there any regs for this? The current basin waste goes into the floor and then travels through the joists into the waste stack on the left of the picture.
Also I have some light misting coming from where the toilet waste connects into the waste stack on the left in the picture. I have wiped off most of the dust but left the misting that is present and it sure if this is normal or not - I was thinking seeing as I’m doing the rest of the bathroom I would sort this out while it’s all cut out with easy access or everything.
