Hi people,
I have a bit of a issue with the best way to go about connecting a 32mm waste pipe (from a new basin) to a cast iron soilpipe. I have figured I can get a strap on boss (probably from Saint Gobain as they do good ones for CI) and fit it ok.
My only problem is getting the 200mm between fitting the boss and where the toilet connects - this is because we have a flat roof.
I think the gap between the bottom of the toilet pipe and the flat roof is pretty much exactly 20mm - the main issue being a load of cement sealing the soil pipe into the roof which means it would be pretty hard to connect.
I am considering going down through the flat roof and making the join in the kitchen (box it in sort of thing). I am not sure how easy this is and what precautions I would need to take to stop the roof leaking.
Another possibility is to run the pipe straight over the flatroof and into the guttering, this looks pretty messy but one of our neighbours has done it.
Hope that all makes sense, thanks in advance...
Dave
