I have moved into a modern apartment block and i have i spigot under the sink for the washing machine waste water. I know that the machine waste water pipe pushes onto the spigot but i am worried that it may leak. My machine waste water pipe has a rubber ring around it but i want to be sure that i wont leak at all, is there any thing i can buy to add on to be sure like a jubilee clip would that work ?

(see pic of spigot)

I always put a clip of some sort (spring clip or jubilee clip) on waste hoses connected to the drain via spigots. Some manufacturers provide the relevant clips (notably Bosch Group)

There is nothing wrong with it at all and adds to a bit of security for it (harder to accidently get knocked off with the general accumulated crud under a sink).

you must also loop the hose upward, so the top of the loop is higher than the water level in the sink, and preferably as high as the worktop.
