Water coming up in porch

I've just had slabbing done outside and water is now coming in onto the porch floor. I now know that the builders bridged the damp proof course to the top of the blue bricks at the front in their attempts to make a step free access. They said the water is coming in under the door, but have failed to sort the problem and have now abandoned me. Is there anything I can do to stop the water getting in? (It doesn't obviously come in through the doorway but bubbles up inside the porch.) I can't afford to get the slabs relaid at the moment as it would be a big job getting the whole path level, not just fitting a step.

A picture would help but I suspect you need to cut the slabs away from the door/damp course and either create a french drain with gravel OR use some aco drains and let rainwater soak away, might be best to ask the question on the building or garden section as this isn't really a door problem

Thank you for your reply. I'll try and do a photo. They've acually already put an ACO drain right next to the porch (no gravel though), but it cost me hundreds extra and hasn't helped! To be honest, I'll probably have to pay somebody to look at it as my DIY skills are not that great, but I honestly don't know who to go to who can help. I was thinking a window and door repairer, but it sounds like that might not be correct? EDIT: photo below.
