I've got a 210 litre water cylinder which when loaded will be about 250Kg.
The cylinder will be going in the middle of a 4m span on 8" x 3" timbers at 450mm centres. The cylinder is 600mm diameter. I am looking to make a plinth/platform at 90degrees (across 2 or 3 joists) to support the cylinder.
Any advice/views appreciated - is this too much weight for the joist span ?
