Water Damage - Floor and Walls

Hi,

We have recently had a water leak (sink overflow was not attached to the sink spigot).
This caused a lot of water to leak without noticing.

Most of this has dried out now with the help of a dehumidifier, however, I am a bit concerned about the MDF boards on the floor.

How much water content in these is too much?

I used a cheap moisture sensor.
Areas with no water show 0%
Area with water marks, but further away from the leak is around 10%
And under the sink where most of the water leaked is at 40%.

any advice would be appreciated.

Let's think - 1.Is the MDF actually damaged? 2. Is MDF subject to rot - as timber is? 3. A good roofer once fitted fresh lead for me because I notice that roof timber was getting quite wet. What about the timber I asked - "That will be OK once it has dried out but I'll come round and check in a month" He did and the wood was bone dry and solid. I suspect your MDF will be fine once it has dried unless it has obviuosly been damaged becuase it is even less likely to rot than timber. But check it again in a month.
