What do you mean by a drip? If this a dripping sound, or dampness above an opening?

Water tends not to drip in caviity walls.

When the outer wall gets saturated then water may travel down the inner face of the external leaf and there may be an occasional drip of wall ties but nothing continuous.

It will take some continuous heavy rain before it saturates the wall, so the cause of any drips is more likley to be water getting in a the top - near the eaves or under a window cill

If this is dampness above an opening, then you may not have a " cavity tray " within the wall, which would otherwise direct any water within the cavity to the external face of the wall.
