Hi all,

First post and I'm not even sure this is the right place for it but here goes.

I've just had a building survey on a property and somethings come up regarding the roof that I'm not sure how to intepret:

"To the front roof pitch the roof extends over the 2 story bay window and it was noted the left hand verge line does not extend onto the underlying window cill. The verge line should be extended to allow water to clear the underlaying windows thus preventing the chance that water may penitrate through the window ceill detail."

Basically I think it means that when it rains, rain runs down edge and down onto the window cill.

If this makes sense to anyone, could they explain how easy this is to resolve and how. Is it simple enough to do or is it something for a profesional?

Thanks for taking the time, hope someone can advise.

Simon
