Water filter for undeneath sink

Is there a filter you can buy to be plumbed in underneath sink? i used to use a brita water jug but since we have had our american style fridge we are now in the habit of filling up a jug from the filtered water dispenser on fridge , to in turn fill the kettle !!
I was thinking it would be nice to fill up the kettle from the tap again like the good old days before i was brainwashed into re-filtering tap water.
