Hi ..

Was looking for a bit of advice as what to do next ...

We have just got our water heater replaced after not having hot water for 2.5 weeks. We are on e.on economy 7 and the heater should turn on 3 times a day to heat the water.

When the plumber left yesterday, we waited for the time it turns on - it didnt. And it didnt turn on through the night so this morning, we ended up turning the booster on - which worked and we had hot water after 2 hours but that costs more so we are doing dishes and sinks of wwater thanks to kettle and bathing at the mothers house !

So any idea what might be stopping it clicking on automatically like it should .. ?? Especially when the boost switch is working ??

Thanks people !

Have you altered the timer - actual time - during the repairs.

Clock stopped for a while during repairs?.

No nothing like that ... its just not coming on ....

We actaully this same issue when we were with nPower years ago and an electrician friend came round and changed a fuse and bobs your uncle it worked . but that fuse no longer exists in the cupboard so we are at a loss ...maybe a phonrcall to eon ??

Faulty timer, if the boost is working, it indicates there is power to the timer, do you have two heaters

Is there a double pole switch for the off-peak supply in the open position, by any chance?

Yip its on ... first thing we did when it was all installed was turn it on ready for the next heating time .. but it didnt come on so we are using the boost for hot water

I would get you timer checked out, can you post a pic of it

This pic shows everything we have in the electric cupboard and the digital meter ... that is the only thing we have in the house apart from the heater itself and the on and off power switch regarding the heater.

When you say you used the boost, is this on a unit near the hot water cylinder, can you do a pic of it
