I'm in the process of sorting my lower ground floor/basement out.
I found 2 areas that seem to be always wet so I dug around it and it looks like the membrane is missing from on area and the other seems the membrane wasn't put down well, it's a bit short.
Photo 1 and 2 show the bottom of the chimney stack, water is pooling here as its raining heavily today. So it's def a water from below that's causing the issue.
Photos 3 and 4 show the corner of the room where the DCP membrane us short and doesn't reach the corner and retaining wall.
Last photo shows a wider angle of the area.
My question is, can I just use waterproofed cement (like the one in the final photo) to basically lay thos down and deep and wide as possible to stop the water from coming up? Or do I need something else/more drastic?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
